I have used Quilt pro 5 for over 2 years and cannot for the life of me figure out why I cannot print a quilt on the quilt information page. Also when I print out a block there is no color. Also, when I print out the calculation of fabric, only some of the blocks with color print. Not sure what is going on with my software. I need help immediately.

Seems like I had a simular problem a while back. Go to the Preferences Menu and Un-check ATI graphics card. That worked for me. Lorna

I have checked my Preferences Menus and I have not checked ATG Graphics Card.
Thanks for responding.

Hi Fran,

I'm assuming that Quilt-Pro has printed correctly to this same printer for a long while, is that correct? Or is this a new printer?

Are only certain colors missing?

Have you tried printing in color from another program to make sure there isn't something wrong with the printer cartridges? Even when it's new, there could be something wrong with it. A simple Word or Text document with portions of the text colored using all 4 colors should be able to tell you if there is something wrong. Make the text bold if possible.

Have you cleaned the print heads recently?

Lorna indicated using the ATI setting unselected might help. Since it didn't work unselected, try selecting it.

Then check to see if your QP version is current. The latest is 5.1.2, Look for the version number in Help, About Quilt-Pro in your program. Here is a link to the update:

http://www.quiltpro.com/update.shtml

Lastly, download and install CutePDf writer. After it is installed, it will show up as a printer in the print dialog boxes. Select it and then print, to test Quilt-Pro printing. It will create a PDF document that you can open and view. This is a free program that can be found at www.CutePDf.com

I hope that helps. If not, let me know.

Hi Linda: Quilt Pro has printed to this same printer for a long time. All colors are missing. I have printed other documents with color and they are fine. I did Click on the ATI setting and installed the latest version of QP5, I also downloaded the CutePDF writer you suggested. I have just run the quilts and they finally have color. Are there any other items in preferences that should be clicked on that you can suggest?

Thanks for all your help.

So everything is printing correctly now? If so, that should be it.
